PhD. Sofokli Garo
Dr. Sofokli Garo was born in Tirana. He completed pre-university education in Durres, and has finished his university studies at the University of Tirana, in the mathematics branch. After working for many years as a math teacher in high school in the country, in 2002 she emigrated with his family to the US. There he continued his studies in master and doctorate programs in the field of school mathematics. After completing these studies, for several years he worked as a mathematics lecturer at the University of Minnesota, North Dakota University and the Hostos College in New York City.
During the last years, after returning to Albania, Dr. Garo worked at the University "Aleksandër Moisiu" in Durrës as a lecturer, dean and deputy Rector, and since October 2018 he is responsible for the Department of Computer Science at University College Bedër in Tirana.
During his professional career Dr. Garo has published in the United States two monographs, in Albania he has written three textbooks belonging to the fields of school mathematics and teaching, and has published a large number of scientific articles in foreign and domestic journals.
