Students and teachers from Hëna e Plotë “BEDËR” University in Tirana visited the U.S. Embassy in Tirana. Matilda Vangjeli, the Information Resource Center Director, gave an overview of the Resource Center, the American Corners in Albania, and the youth programs organized by the Embassy. The Assistant Public Affairs Officer Niles Cole spoke about the structure of the U.S. Embassy, the role of the American diplomats in Albania, and gave an overview of the American education system. Mr. Cole answered student’s questions about the education system, American youth and opportunities to further cooperation between the American Embassy and Hëna e Plotë “BEDËR” University.
Students proposed Mr. Cole and other embassy officials the idea to organize seminars and open lectures on American language and culture.
